5/9 Class 2A

1. Complete the "Example" and "Message" column on the theme chart. Do not do the symbol column.

2. Read chapters 15-16 and do the vocabulary practice for those chapters.

5/8 Class 1B

1. Read chapters 12-14 and review the theme words on the theme chart. Do not complete the chart. You will do this in class on Monday.

5/7 Class 2A

1. Read chapters 12-14 in TKAM. Prepare answers to the study guide questions and complete the vocabulary for chapters 8-12.

2. Rewrite the school scene in chapter 2 from another character's point of view. You may tell about the first day of school from Miss Caroline's perspective, Walter Cunningham's perspective, or Burris Ewell's perspective. Directions for this assignment are on a worksheet you received in class on Monday. (This was assigned as homework for class 1B on Tuesday.)

5/5 and 5/6 Class 2A and 1B

1. Read Chapters 8-11 in TKAM. Prepare any notes for the quiz.

Class 2A Only

2. Complete the questions on diction (received in class on 5/5) for the passage from chapter 1. The passage is on the back of the Pre-reading activity you did in class. DO NOT START THE POINT OF VIEW WRITING ASSIGNMENT. We will do this in class on Wed.
