As the end of the year approaches, we would like to take this time to review a few things with you.

     The weather has gotten nicer and we are well aware of the many activities that spring brings with it. However, we still have many curriculum items to cover and need the children to stay focused. Please remind the children that

grades still matter and the need to keep up with the routine of copying and completing homework.

     We would like to ask that if you have concerns or questions that you would like to share with us, that you please do so in the format explained at the beginning of the year. We are always willing to conference or return a phone call whenever our schedule allows. Both of us try hard to respond to your concerns in a timely manner. We can NOT, however, conference with you in the morning at 8:00 or whenever you catch us in our classrooms. At this time of the day we are busy preparing our day for your children. We can not be present to your needs when you catch us on the fly. Many days, we have had parents “pop in” to discuss their child. While it may seem to you to just take a minute or two, it does not. This really is not fair to us or to your child. Please understand that it is not that we do not want to address your concerns, it is just not the appropriate time. We understand that you also have schedules that need to be followed and we try hard not to interrupt your day at the inappropriate time. Thank you for your understanding in this area.

     We are busy finishing up our curriculum and thinking about homeroom placements for next year. Please be aware of Sr. Linda’s policy about sending in requests for teachers or homeroom placements. We spend a great deal of time thinking about the needs of your child and the next year’s dynamics. Please trust that we will do our best to assure success for your child in the upcoming year.
