D ear Parents/Guardians,
We would like to welcome your child to Magothy River Middle School. Your child has been placed on the CHAMPIONS TEAM! We are looking forward to an exciting and successful year. Your child will be involved with our Grade 8 Service Learning Project, Enrichment Projects, Computer Lab Assignments and Team Activities.
Your child will attend six periods of classes each day. Periods two, three, four and six will be Core Classes (Academics) and periods one and five will be Encore Classes (Electives). Lunch will be at 1:20 every day, since this is a late lunch the students will need a good breakfast in the morning, and they are allowed to bring a small nutritious snack to eat at the end of third period (12:05). Students may use their lockers before period one, before lunch, and at the end of the day.
Homework is an integral part of your child’s education. We are encouraging each of our students to purchase a Magothy River Agenda for recording assignments and important information. The Agenda may be purchased at school.
