Assignments for October 2009

10/1: Chapter 1 test today.

10/1: Questions 1-4 on page 46 are due today.

10/14: Group presentations due today. Presentation are on the chemicals needed for life (section 1 chapter 2). Students have been working on this in class.

10/23: Quiz on sections 1 and 2 of Chapter 2 today. (The chemicals cells need and transport of materials into and out of cells.)

10/29: EXTRA CREDIT: Students can write a rap/poem about the cells organelles and turn it in before the end of October for extra credit.

10/29: Questions 1-4 on page 65 are due today. (It is on section 3 of chapter 2: photosynthesis).

Homework for November 2009:

11/2: Questions 1-5 on page 70 are due today. (It is on section 4 of chapter 2:respiration).

11/3: Quiz on sections 3-4 of chapter 2. (It is on photosynthesis and respiration. The equations, definitions, explaining the steps of each and the importance of photosynthesis may be quizzed. Also, fermentation will be tested). Please see attachment for a study guide. Students received one in class today.

Coach Class for Wednesday 11-4 will be held on Tuesday 11-3 from 3-4, for THIS WEEK ONLY!

11/9: Complete the classwork from 11/6 for homework. Draw and label the cell cycle on a sheet of white paper.

11/10: Chapter 2 test today. It is on ALl of chapter 2 (chemicals needed for life, transport, phtosynthesis, respiration, and the cell cycle/cell division).

11/16: Questions 1-4 on page 91 due today/

11/17: Sticker pages due today.

11/20: Quiz on sections 1-2 of chapter 3. (This includes understanding Mendel's work with pea plants and Punnett Squares and probability.)
