Stevensville, Md. 21666
It is a privilege and a pleasure to officially welcome you to the Visiting Team for Continuous School Improvement at Kent Island High School. We have been preparing for your visit for many months and look forward to working with you on the days of November 14th, 15th, and 16th of 2001. We anticipate your arrival on Tuesday November 13th and have scheduled a reception to be followed by a presentation to welcome you to our school.
Kent Island High School is located in western Queen Anne’s County just across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. From the Baltimore area take I-95 south to Rte 100 and follow the signs to I-97. I-97 will merge into Rte 50 in Annapolis, Maryland and the Bay Bridge is about five miles past Annapolis. From the Washington D.C. area take the Washington Beltway to Rte 50 east and the Bay Bridge is roughly 30 miles from the Washington beltway. Once over the Bay Bridge take the first exit #37 to North Rte 8. Make a left at the light and head towards Stevensville. Kent Island High School is one mile on the right hand side. Visitor parking is in front of the school.
We have made arrangements for you to stay at the Kent Manor Inn, one of the most outstanding hotels in the area with excellent accommodations. The Kent Manor Inn is just off exit 37(the first exit past the Bay Bridge), one half mile south of the exit ramp.
Kent Island High School opened its doors in 1998 and provides a quality educational experience for over 1150 students in grades nine through twelve.
