Tunnels of Love Project

This mural is dedicated to Mrs. Jackie Sachs, who was a teacher her at Magothy River Middle School for many years. While at Anne Arundel Medical Center Mrs. Sachs had the idea of having students create a mural in one of the underground tunnels at the hospital to help lift the spirits of the patients in the hospital. Saddly Mrs. Sachs passed away last year, so her daughter, Deborah Love, and Mrs. Ling, along with a group of Magothy students will be continuing this idea.

The following students have been selected to help with the mural: Haley M, Sydney P, Stirling I, Hannah H, Lauren R, Allison W, Elizabeth L, Corey D, Jonathan H, Sarah M, and Brianna W.

Due to the H1N1 virus and the start of the flu season the mural project has been postponed until the end of the flu season. Students will be notified when painting on the mural will begin.

The theme of the mural will be "Dream the Impossible Dream" from the book Man of La Mancha.
