First Session: October 2008 - January 2009
Digital Microscope: Students learned how to use the digital microscope and take pictures. Students took pictures of everyday objects with the microscope and created MYSTERY picture pages in Microsoft Word. These projects were posted outside the Technology Lab for all students to see and make a guess.
Introduction to Video Game Programming and Digital Animation: Students used the program SCRATCH from MIT availabe for free at http://scratch.mit.edu/ to learn about basic programming and computer animation. Download a copy for yourself, and see what you can do.
Second Session: January 2009 - June 2009
Introduction to Robotics: Through the use of Tech Club funds, we were able to purchase five lego NXT Robotics Education Sets with software. Students have been assigned teams and have been building and programming LEGO robots. Students have built and programmed robots that can react to sound, light, color, and touch. We are planning a culminating Robotics Competition at the end of Tech Club.
