WINTERS MILL GIRLS LACROSSEHome of the 2008 2A/3A State Champions
Coach Courtney Vaughn was a varsity lacrosse and field hockey player at Salisbury State College where she graduated in 1985. Her lacrosse coaching career kicked off in 1986 at Owings Mill High School, with a return to Carroll County's Liberty High School in 1987. After winning 12 county championships in 15 years at Liberty High School, Vaughn transferred to Winters Mill High School to begin a winning tradition with the Falcons in 2003. January 2007 brought with it Vaughn's induction into the Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame and another positive season for Falcon's lacrosse. Then in 2008 Coach Vaughn led a young varsity lacrosse team to Winters Mills 1st Girls Lacrosse State Title. While building character and skill on the field, she teaches life lessons for each player who wears a Winters Mill High School lacrosse uniform.
