Whenever you type a formal paper for this class, unless otherwise specified, you must follow the following guidelines:
- double-spaced *
- 12-pt font: Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri
- black ink
- fronts only
- include a title
- be well-written
* double-spaced is the same as skipping lines. You can change the settings in Microsoft Word before typing your paper so that the computer will double-space for you. To set that up in Microsoft Word, follow these steps:
- click Format (top of the screen)
- from the dropdown menu, click Paragraph
- in the Paragraph window, locate the section marked Spacing and use the dropdown bar to change the spacing from single to double
- click OK
This will not be a permanent change. You will need to go through these steps each time you start a new document.
Note: You may e-mail any typed assignments if you prefer not to print them out and submit them in person. If you e-mail an assignment, it MUST be sent on time and as an attachment; do NOT copy and paste the text directly into the e-mail. If you have questions about how to send an attachment, please see Ms. Kretzer.
