Course Description:

These honors and IB level language courses cover all of the basic vocabulary, grammatical structures, verb tenses, and moods through the imperfect subjunctive.  Taught entirely in Spanish, these courses deal with advanced grammar and idiomatic expressions, classified vocabulary and the advanced study of moods and verb tenses.  The focus of the course of study is on the aspects of change, groups and leisure in Spanish and Spanish American cultures.  By reading, discussing journal writing and presenting their work, students will strengthen their abilities and skills in all areas of language studies.  Students are evaluated on their oral presentations, cultural regalia projects, written journal, composition reports and redactions, along with the multi-section departmental mid-semester and final examination.  The main difference between the Honors program and the Regular program is the length in readings, writing and oral presentations.
