FRENCH 7, 8, 9

In the academic year 2008-2009, students will again be working on completion of AP and IB program requirements.  Since this is a small seminar, curriculum changes each year to accommodate specific needs.

The following works will be read and discussed:

         Le Malentendu (a 20th century play by Albert Camus)

         Moderato Cantabile (a 20th century novel by Marguerite Duras, which completes our AP French Literature cycle of readings)

         Selections from Littérature Francophone (Nathan)

         The Story of French (chapters from the 1996 work by Jean-Benoît Nadeau and Julie Barlow - questionnaires in French)

         Films: Réveil, Lumumba

         Vol de Nuit (a 20th century novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)

         Selections from Littérature Francophone

         The Story of French

         Film: Joyeux Noël

QUARTER 3

         Les Caprices de Marianne (a 19th century play by Alfred de Musset)

         Special IB Internal Testing and Review for AP French Literature Exam
