Please note that the format of our reading homework in first grade will include worksheets and take home booklets, as well as activities listed in our "Home/School Connections."

     The children will be expected to complete the pages or read the booklet to an adult and return them to school the following day.  It is hoped that parents will go over all homework assignments with their children and will remember to sign each page.  Please insist that your child takes the necessary time to produce nice, neat printing, for it is important that good work habits are developed.

     The "Home/School Connection" pages will be distributed at the conclusion of each story.  Parents who wish to challenge their children are encouraged to use the "Bonus Activities" listed at the bottom of the page.  Feel free to alter these to meet the needs of your children.
