Social Studies: Unit 3: Progression
By studying the economic, social and political forces that influenced the development of Colonial America, students can better understand the impact those forces have had on the modern United States, and other nations of the world.
Reading Curriculum
Theme five: School Rules. In this theme, students will see many ways members of a community are connected. As students read and listen to selections about school experiences, they will realize that students in school communities learn not only information from texts but also practical lessons about life.
Math Curriculum
Unit 9: Exponents and Negative Numbers. We will understand and apply scientific notation, understand and apply powers of 10, understand and apply order of operations to evaluate expressions and solve number sentences. Add and subtract integers, understand and apply exponential notation, determine number sentences as true or false, understand the function and placement of parentheses in number sentences and order and compare integers.
Writing Curriculum
We will continue reviewing and further developing the stages of the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising, final draft, publishing).
