2009 FALL FUNDRAISER!!!

This year the AVID program is running two separate fundraisers at the same time, one for 6th and 8th grade, and one for 7th grade.  Profits from these fundraisers will go towards reducing the prices of field trips, technology for the AVID classroom, AVID honor roll celebrations, and other incentives for the AVID students.

6th and 8th grade AVID students will be selling holiday decorations (wreaths, centerpieces, sprays, etc) through a company called Mickman Brothers.  The wreaths are made of live evergreen branches and are priced between $17 and $25 (around the same price or less than you would pay at a holiday store!).  Each item sold earns the AVID program $6-7 profit!  The students should take orders in October.  All orders and money is due to Mrs. Pierman by Monday, October 26.

7th grade students will be piloting a new fundraiser this year through Yankee Candle.  These are the same products that you are familiar with, and at similar prices. However, each sale earns the AVID program 40% profit!  The students should take orders in October.  All orders and money is due to Mrs. Pierman by Monday, October 26.

The Yankee Candle Catalog can also be viewed online at www.yankeecandlefundraising.com

***Some students have already requested a copy of a different grade's fundraiser so that they can show that one to their family as well. While I am in no way asking students to sell for both fundraiser, they are more than welcome to take home both fundraiser forms if they or you would like them to.
